2 - People may wonder why having records from as far back as 2002 might be useful. You'd be surprised how many times a doctor will ask a question and I can pull up what they want to know. Ex, I had to pull up a pathology report from a surgery I had in 2002 for a doctor in 2016.

We do not get femoral heads (or knees) unless surgeon decides to send it for exam (typically in cases of AVN or fracture, or concern for disease). Definitely saves grossing time. But does depend on clinician attentiveness.
