"Clinicians are requesting a stat read as patient needs a chest tube and they can do another biopsy at the same time if they have to"

I think I had a tiny basal cell on my nose once, but I found the liquid nitrogen and froze the heck out of it. It never came back, so maybe it wasn't a BCC. Plenty of AKs though!

True, although my major angst in these questions comes from the small lesions, minimally invasive vs more than minimal. Cases that look non-invasive but have increased mature fibrous thickening. #pulmpath #USCAP2018

*the aspiration patient did die of aspiration, and the lung pathology was that of food particles, neutrophils/bacteria as one would expect in the affected region, not DAD

Interesting #covid19 #autopsy series from #neworleans
— Lisa Chan, MD, MS (@sassyanesdoc) April 11, 2020
Points of Interest:
1. thrombotic and microangiopathic effects of the virus, seen on lung slices
2. dilated RV
3. no sign of pneumonia, myocarditis https://t.co/N5AjY0IuLg
So much speculation re is COVID-19 lung dz ARDS or is it not.

Are we lacking autopsy data? Are the data conflicting? Are there two things? The pathology would seem to be helpful for sussing this out?
@BenMazer help us out.
