Indeed - and since a lot of testing results are taking up to a week to come back, positive results are backloaded (thus, growth rate of positives may be misleading). Improving testing worsens this temporarily, but improves in the long run. Stay safe!

Rate of (+) tests is hard to evaluate-it's important, but in many areas (like mine) testing is currently limited to not only those with symptoms, but who have significant underlying illness or who have severe symptoms. So, probably an overestimate (but low-risk are undercounted)

And media and swabs for testing
— Matthew Wasco (@Gleason4plus5) March 19, 2020
Tests (mostly materials needed to test like swabs and media) are in way, way short supply. Now that tests are more available, can't collect a proper specimen.
— Matthew Wasco (@Gleason4plus5) March 18, 2020
It's not just test availability, it's the proper containers and media (special liquid it is collected in) and nasal swabs that you need to collect it. These are in terribly short supply and are limiting testing capabilities, even if tests can be done in the first place

In general they have been pretty much the go-to lab for lots of infectious disease testing over the years. Impressive place.

It's been horrifying to see how differently the disease behaves in the US for example, among communities of colour. Illustrating vividly that beyond pathology, are socio-economics and issues of legacy.
Your medical write up was appreciated.
