Preliminary report sometimes causes billing problems. After report is issued, billing another IHC would be problematic in very helpful LIS :(

That is why we used to have pop-up windows. When physician would like to read the report a pop-up will explain the issue and phone number.

Yes, big pitfall! CD138 is very common in carcinomas, typically adenocarcinomas although have also seen in urothelial - and of course the "plasmacytoid" variant of UC (which can spread in a single cell fashion) is typically CD138 positive. #gupath #IHCpath

If you haven't seen it, great study from @Williamson_SR on consensus/lack of consensus in defining T3a status in renal cell carcinomas.

Clear cell RCC growth can be so strange, hard to tell when it "becomes" T3a. #gupath https://t.co/9UYbhigxAR pic.twitter.com/lxtIIJEgVC
Very nice case. Thanks. Just wondering: do you confirm the diagnosis by serum alkaline phosphatase level?
— Merva Soluk Tekkesin (@merva_st) November 15, 2017
Do you have pax8 and gata3? U got no site specific markers done. RCC ihc is very nonspecific. Urothelial carcinoma >> high grade RCC (e.g. medullary). Please be careful on patient information
