In the study I am doing, so far 20 cases have p40, 10 (50%) positive (and the positivity can be focal).
Prelim IHC results: AE1/3 69^, CK56 59%, P63 60%, SMA 36%, desmin 29%+ all comer HN mucosal sarcomatoid scc
Hate to say this, we are doing studies on sarcomatoid carcinoma (spindle cell SCC): out of 15 cases that were stained both for S100 and CK, 1 case is positive for both....So sarcomatoid SCC is not completely out, although low chance....
